[ Mio saying his rival's name catches him by surprise and at first, he doesn't say anything. The only thing that could be heard is an annoyed grumble and a long, exasperated sigh. ]

... Yes. Him.

[ Ugh, he hates having to admit that. Although, hearing that Ishida was actually praising him causes him to turn several shades of red. It's a good thing Mio can't see him because he's super embarrassed by it.

But he couldn't deny that hearing that made him happy. ]

It's about time that guy realized how great I am. [ He's grumbling some more, but it's becoming more obvious how embarrassed he is. ] Don't get your hopes up too much for him, he's a bit foolish. [ He pauses. ] But I am relived he's the one that found you. As annoying as he is, Ishida is one of the most reliable people I've ever met.

[ IT'S NOT LIKE HE LIKES ISHIDA OR SOMETHING???? Says the worlds biggest tsundere. Hearing her laugh does make him smile. It's just what he needs. ]

Yes. I need to see you. I... desire to pull you into my arms for a warm embrace.

[She finds it a little bit funny, the way he says all of that. To be honest, she kind of wants to call him out on how tsundere he actually is, but she decides against it for the time being.

After all that though, she does sigh.]

Okay. But can we meet somewhere that isn't either of our houses? I don't want to bother anyone in the house.

Let's do that. There's something else I need to tell you about my past life anyhow that I don't want a lot of people to know just yet.

[ He's still... trying to process it and in a way, Leon isn't even sure if he believes it just yet. It's so shocking that it's making him unsure. ]

Where would you like to meet up? Do you want to go to a hotel? [ But then he immediately pauses as he realizes the implications of that. ] J-Just to talk!

I don't mind going to a hotel. Even though you say it's just to talk, you'll probably want more than that in the end... I don't mind if that's what you want, Leon-sama.

[She is absolutely doing that on purpose and they both know it.]

You...!!!! [ It's frustrating because he can't even deny it since it's true. He full well knows that he'll give into his urges as soon as he sees her. It also doesn't hlpe that she calls him Leon-sama which is more than enough to get him to do anything she asks. A long sigh passes through his lips as he mutters something under his breath before finally speaking. ] W-Whatever! It sounds like you want to do more than just talk. [ It's so hard to talk since his face feels like it's burning. ] Do you want to meet up at the usual place?

[She can't help but tease him just a little bit, because his reactions are just so great and amusing.]

You say that as if you don't, Leon. [And indeed, Mio is actually laughing a bit. It's a nice change of pace from all the seriousness.] Yeah, we can meet there.

[ Even if he doesn't like being teased, if it can help her worries then he sort of doesn't mind. ]

I'm going to go head out, then. I'll see you in a little bit, Mio.

[ True to his word, he immediately makes his way to the hotel as soon as he hangs up. Since they have been there so many times, Leon pretty much automatically knows where to go and it doesn't take him long to reach his destination. Upon arrival, he already sets up a reservation for their usual room and once that's done, he casually waits in the lobby for his girlfriend. ]

I'll see you.

[Those are her last words before she hangs up, getting something to wear before heading out, wearing her hair up in a ponytail as she meets up with him in the lobby, wearing a small smile.

She brought a small bag with her as well just in case of emergencies, too.]

....hey. [Mio smiles when she sees him, relieved to see his face.]

[ Even though he could listen to Mio's lovely voice all evening, seeing her in person is like ten times better. Everytime he sees her, Leon finds himself starstruck by her beauty and he's so blessed. He really is the most lucky guy in the universe.

He smiles at her and eagerly approaches her, wasting no time in swooping her in his arms for a longing kiss. Ever since he spoke to her over the phone, he's been waiting to do that. With a bit of reluctance, he pulls away and slides his hand over to meet with hers. ]

... Hey. You look beautiful.

[She honestly agrees that seeing Leon in person is probably one of the best things that she could ever have. Maybe that's a good thing, really, but when he brings her in close to kiss her, she can't hide the bright pink tinge of her cheeks, of already yearning for him to just hold her close and kiss her more.

But he pulls away from her and there's something fleeting there before she feels his hand on her own.]

Ah- [...] This is just something I pulled on together really quickly. Anyway, should we go?

[hairstroke]

Really? It doesn't look like it. [ a beat. ] Then again, I shouldn't be surprised. Because you look stunning in anything you wear.

[ It's the truth. Mio literally looks amazing in every single one of her outfits. Every time he sees her, he's in awe by her natural beauty and how she's able to pull off anything. ]

Yeah, let's go. We have a different room today, but the receptionist assured me that it's really pretty.

[ At this point, the receptionist is probably very familiar with this couple. While holding onto her hand, he leads her to the elevator that takes them straight to the top. Upon arrival, Leon glances at all the numbers while trying to find the one that matches the set of keys he was given. It's a few doors down, but he eventually reaches the door that belongs to them. He swipes the key card, letting it turn green to unlock as he opens the door for the two of them, revealing a very luxurious looking room.

Leon actually looks really impressed and it shows from the way he whistles upon entering. ]

This is a lot nicer than what I expected.

You're flattering me...

[Her cheeks are a bright red at this point. To be honest, she wouldn't be surprised if the receptionist didn't start gossiping about them considering that they tend to visit this exact hotel every now and again. Especially when these two are pretty much gushing over each other every chance they can get.

But the fact that they have a different room is a surprise, but it's not a bad thing, she thinks.

Lacing her fingers with his own, she gives it a tight squeeze as she follows him to the elevator, waiting inside as she hums a rather slow, somewhat melancholic song almost under her breath as she waits for them to get right to the top. Once they're there, however, there's no stopping as she continues to let him lead the way as he swipes the key card, waiting for the light to turn green before he opens the door.

The room that the door shows the two of them is in fact beautiful-- it's white and pure to the point where she feels like it doesn't suit the two of them. Not that Mio would say a word about that as she lets go of his hand for a moment to take off, immediately removing her shoes by the entrance before taking off the small bag she brought with her next to the bed before she childishly just jumps onto the mattress, laughing quite a bit as she stares at the canopy's ceiling above her.]

Aah, this bed really is nice and soft~! [It can make her forget her worries just for a little bit.] Although we probably shouldn't stay here too long. I mean, I can probably stay out all I want to, but you have someone to take care of back home. Even if he could take care of himself.

[Mio, please..... she does take one of the pillows and sits up, hugging it close as she shifts to look at him more directly.]

So what was the other thing you wanted to talk about, by the way?

[ This room really is too pure for the both of them. It's almost ironic that this is what they ended up with. It's borderline innocent and he knows full well that neither one of them are innocent people. Both right now and in their previous lives. ]

You're right. We can only stay here for so long since I need to get back to Xiaolang.

[ Still, even if it was for a short moment, he just wanted to spend some time alone with his girlfriend. They hardly ever get any moments like these to themselves. It's insane to spend this amount of money just for a few short hours but he really doesn't care.

Especially when he sees her smile as she plops onto the bed. It causes him to laugh a little as he takes off his own shoes and sits next to her. The bed really is comfortable, it's one of the softest mattresses he's ever been on. Her almost child-like reaction to the room is so cute and it warms his heart that he's able to witness it. Seeing her like this is a nice change of pace from their previous conversation. ]

You really do have the cutest reactions. [ He smirks a little and reaches out to stroke the top of her head for a few moments before he falls silent in response to her question. ] It's about my true identity.

[ He pauses for a short moment in an attempt to figure out how to explain this to her. It's strange, in the past he's had no problem telling her about what kind of memories have plagued his mind. But in this case, even Leon himself is having a hard time believing who he really is. ]

How familiar are you with the Chinese Three Kingdoms period?

[ Mio's a smart girl, so he figures that she already knows about the Three Kingdoms era. Of course, anyone who is familiar with Asian history should know about it. The extent of her knowledge is what he's not too sure about. Especially in regards to who he truly is. It's not like he's someone well known like Liu Bei, Cao Cao or Sun Quan. ]

It really is too bad, isn't it? And I wanted to do so much with you. ♥

[She says it in what seems to be an affectionate, almost in a way that seems to seems a little more than just that, especially as she leans her head against him, mewling a little bit when he runs his fingers through her hair. Of course, Mio's cheeks burn a bright scarlet, embarrassed.

And then he asks.

So you are saying you're an old man. [Mio!!!! But a touch more seriously:] The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is actually really popular back home, so I've read it... but it's been a while, so I don't remember all the fine details.

... [ Don't give in, don't give in, don't give in― oh fuck she's mewling just from having her head stroked. It's his one true weakness. ] If you... want to mess around some, I think I'll still be fine time wise.

[ As soon as he heard that cute noise, he's fucked and couldn't resist anymore. He can't believe how easily he drops his pride when it comes to her. ]

God dammit Mio!!! Stop calling me that! I'm not an old man.

[ To show his frustration, he uses his free hand to tug her cheek like the evil bunny she is. Once he's able to cool down his annoyance, he looks at her in awe at the mention of her reading the novel. ]

I'm impressed you read the whole novel, it's a ridiculously long book. Anyhow, I know that this is going to sound utterly inane but I've been remembering events that's taken place during that time period and just recently, I remembered that I was actually one of those historical figures. I don't know if you recall him from the novel since he's not the most well known person. [ Which kind of causes him to scowl a little bit. How cool would it be if he was actually Cao Cao... ] I was Zhong Hui.

[She seems rather surprised and it shows in her expression that he's caving in way too easily. Not that she actually minds, of course. Although she does pout when he pinches her cheek, rubbing the side of it before he talks a little more on the subject.]

Also you're totally an old man if your past self was from that time period. [says the person who comes from the 80s but doesn't remember that yet] Also, I believe you. But Zhong Hui, huh?

[She things she remembers that name, just a little but in order to check she gets out her phone and searches it up and her response is:]

Ohhh... Oh. Well, at least you're famous enough that you have a Wikipedia page.

[This thread is the worst.] But I think that explains a lot, now that I'm quickly looking at this.

[ Honestly, he's even surprised with himself at how easily he gives in. But honestly, after everything they've gone through, he feels as though they deserve to have a little bit of fun together while they can. ]

[Her tone is playful, and she finds herself laughing at his salt and sarcasm.]

[She laughs a little bit bitterly, arms folded.]

[Of course Mio's just messing with him, but she can't help it. She can act however she wants around him and not pretend to be anyone else. It's really comforting.]

I see... [She threads her fingers together, a little flustered as she can't look at him directly in the eye.] I do. It's nice.

[It's also two letters off of the name that she ended up having in the end. Two letters off of Shion.]

I just think that the idea of it is kind of cute. And a little romantic...

[Mio hesitates a little, tugging her lips into what seems to be a rather awkward smile, her cheeks lighting up as she finally looks at him.]

[ He frowns at her while letting out a huff. Naturally, he's messing with her as well, it wouldn't be the same if they didn't have one of their silly banters every so often. ]

You... [ He pauses, his face suddenly turning red when he realizes what she means by those words. ] A-Ah I see.

[ It's funny how fate tends to work out, who would have thought their past life names would be so similiar? Thinking about it makes him happy as he slowly shakes his head. ]

Not at all, I don't think it's weird. Shion and Shiji... [ He repeats that to himself, letting it roll off of his tongue. ] I like it. It's really nice that both of our previous names sound so similar.

Maybe it's fate.

Oh, good, because I've actually been wanting to do that for a while.

It's really cute. But 'fate', huh... [Hearing those words makes her sound a little sad, almost contemplative. She puts her hands together, near her lips. While she likes it, there's just something about saying that it's fate that just bothers her.] I don't think it's something like that. Because if that's true, it's like saying other things in my life could have been fate, too.

And I don't want that to be true.

[Because fate likes to give her a rather shitty hand, and Mio's concerned that if she remembered two deaths already, maybe she'll remember another one.]

[ At those words, he can't help but feel like he got tricked into doing her bidding. Once again, he finds himself being swayed by her craftiness.

But before he could say anything in regards to that, he hears the sad tone in her voice and he immediately regrets his choice of words. It hurts him that his attempt at trying to say something cheesy actually hurt her feelings and he's beginning to feel like a terrible person. For the longest time, he's silent as he folds his hands together, looking a little downcast. ]

... Sorry. It wasn't my intention to imply that.

[He'll more than likely be doing her bidding a little later, too. This time, she wants to. But she laughs it off a little bit, shaking her head.]

I know, I just thought a little too hard. But if you're really sorry, you'll make it up to me, won't you? ☆

She knows it isn't, but she wants to harp on this opportunity regardless of the fact, reaching out to him as she places a hand atop his own.]

[ The feeling of her hand does cause him to smile a little. But he can't quite get rid of this terrible sensation in the pit of his stomach. Even if it wasn't his intention, he still felt bad about the whole ordeal. ]

[ But he does manage to laugh. ]
