I'm impressed you read the whole novel, it's a ridiculously long book. Anyhow, I know that this is going to sound utterly inane but I've been remembering events that's taken place during that time period and just recently, I remembered that I was actually one of those historical figures. I don't know if you recall him from the novel since he's not the most well known person. [ Which kind of causes him to scowl a little bit. How cool would it be if he was actually Cao Cao... ] I was Zhong Hui.

[It's also two letters off of the name that she ended up having in the end. Two letters off of Shion.]

I just think that the idea of it is kind of cute. And a little romantic...

[Mio hesitates a little, tugging her lips into what seems to be a rather awkward smile, her cheeks lighting up as she finally looks at him.]

[ He frowns at her while letting out a huff. Naturally, he's messing with her as well, it wouldn't be the same if they didn't have one of their silly banters every so often. ]

[ It's funny how fate tends to work out, who would have thought their past life names would be so similiar? Thinking about it makes him happy as he slowly shakes his head. ]

Not at all, I don't think it's weird. Shion and Shiji... [ He repeats that to himself, letting it roll off of his tongue. ] I like it. It's really nice that both of our previous names sound so similar.

It's really cute. But 'fate', huh... [Hearing those words makes her sound a little sad, almost contemplative. She puts her hands together, near her lips. While she likes it, there's just something about saying that it's fate that just bothers her.] I don't think it's something like that. Because if that's true, it's like saying other things in my life could have been fate, too.

For the longest time, he's silent as he folds his hands together, looking a little downcast. ]

[He's definitely making fun of her and she knows it. She pouts a little bit, but it soon fades when he says those words, leaning into his touch. When he says that his cousin isn't home, she can't help but be relieved.

[ Seeing her facial expression makes him wonder if it was really that surprising? (Spoilers Leon: It is.) Well, he didn't mind. It's been a while since they got a chance to be together like this, so he wants to make her extra happy tonight.

With a gentle smile, he nods his head and has to hold himself back from making a noise when she leans into his touch. Her soft skin felt so good against his hand... ]

[It definitely is quite a bit of a surprise here. If he wants to make her happy, then she can't help but accept his words with a smile of her own, caring and warm. Her cheeks even color slightly.]

[ ... Okay that 'anything' does have it's limits like doing something totally humilitaing to his pride BUT HIS POINT STILL STANDS. Leon will go miles on order to ensure that Mio's happiness is priority because she is his number on girl in his life.

And to seal that promise, he leans in and presses his lips against hers for a kiss. ]
