Satoshi: "Uhh... Which one is broccoli? The green one or the yellow one?"
Shion: "That's cauliflower, Satoshi-kun... Hey, is it possible that you can't tell lettuce from cabbage, either?"
Satoshi: "I-I'm not that bad... I'm doing my best here..."

Satoshi-kun is staring at the heaps of broccoli and cauliflower.
After thinking for a while, he reaches out to the wrong one...

Shion: "That's not it! ...It's thrilling to watch you do shopping. It's fun for me, though. Aha ha ha ha!"
Satoshi: "......Umm. You got me. Satoko can't tell the difference either. Which color is broccoli and which color is cauliflower...?"
Shion: "...You guys are too funny."

Sis told me that Satoshi was a flaky big brother and Satoko was a griping little sister.
I haven't met Satoko. But she must be having a tough time dealing with Satoshi-kun.
That's because he stumbles at everything he buys.

Shion: "That's cooking salt. ...It's mixed with pepper. It's different from regular salt."
Satoshi: "Oh... is it? I think I saw salt and pepper separate in chemistry class..."
Shion: "Stop making excuses and just put it back on the shelf... This is normal salt! What are you getting next?"

Satoshi: "Uh...... Aha ha ha ha. You are a great help, Mion..."
Shion: "...You look smart, but you have serious issues... I think you should study more..."
Satoshi: "Umm... That sounds harsh... ...Oh, is this it?"
Shion: "Wait! That's not it! You need to check the price and amount before you put the item in your basket!"

My first impression of Satoshi-kun was that... he was strong.
But... I'm surprised at how clumsy he is.
I don't think he should be alone. That's dangerous.

He might stumble at the traffic light, wondering which color means he can go... He might be hit by a truck.

Cashier: "1,780 yen is your total. Do you have a member's card?"
Satoshi: "Eh...... uh, yes...... Ah......... it must be in here..."
Shion: "Oh, sorry. We can't find it, so that's okay."

I force him to finish the payment.

Satoshi: "That was horrible, Mion... You made me waste points..."
Shion: "You shouldn't take time digging through your wallet at this crowded hour!! People were lined up behind us! Didn't you see those evil eyes of the housewives?! You should've prepared it beforehand!"
Satoshi: "...Oh... you're right. Aha ha. That's good to know."
Shion: "It's not only about when you go shopping. The same thing goes for when you ride a bus! You pay your fare when you get off the bus, don't you? Did you ever notice there are people waiting for you to finish?"
Satoshi: "...Umm... I guess people pass by me and go ahead of me..."
Shion: "Hah... You know what that means? You're bothering them tremendously! You need to prepare the money beforehand. That's manners! Do you get it?!"
Satoshi: "O-okay... You're scary today, Mion.... Ahahaha..."

Satoshi-kun smiles as if he's patronizing me.
......Hah... I can't believe it.
...I think he's the kind of person who makes women want to mother them.
...He's okay when he's with somebody who can take care of him like me. But what's he going to do when he's not?

Shion: "Okay. This way, your mom won't freak out when she opens this bag."
Satoshi: "Uh... thanks. You helped me a lot... I don't think I'm good at shopping."
Shion: "Just shopping? I know that's not the only thing!"
Satoshi: "......Um... umm......"
Shion: "Ahahahahahaha! Just kidding."

I realized a few things while shopping with him.
...He's not just bad at shopping. He's chronically clumsy.


.....He's a slow thinker.

...That means... when he stepped into the quarrel with the punks, he must have needed a lot of courage.

He might be a simpleton, but he's not stupid.
He's aware of his weaknesses.
...So, he must have known the possible danger in that situation.
...He could have chosen to walk away even though I was in danger.
But he chose to be a man and... stepped in. That's admirable.

Shion: "Good boy. You did a great job. There, there."
Satoshi: "Wh-what is it? Don't stroke my head."
Shion: "I'm rewarding you for your successful shopping today. There, there."
Satoshi: "You're making fun of me, aren't you, Mion?"
Shion: "No, I'm not. Can you go home by yourself? Do you know how to get home?"
Satoshi: "Umm... you are making fun of me..."

Satoshi-kun's sulky face blushes red... Ahh, he's cute.
