[ "Probably" doesn't sound reassuring. Nevertheless, she gets there in about twenty minutes before she texts a short message: ]

[And, true to his word, the lobby door buzzes open about thirty seconds later, with Xiaolang already waiting in the doorway by the time Mio reaches his apartment. He's dressed fairly casually, with just a sweatshirt and lounge pants on, although a dark blue apron is covering most of it.]

Sorry for the short notice. Things have been a bit busy this week, with school and family stuff and all.

[ Mio herself is dressed just as casually - wearing what seems to be something on the simple end. It's fashionable enough, but she isn't wearing a skirt like she usually does when she's around Leon, which shows quite a bit about how she is, as a person. ]

I'm just excited to eat cheesecake! ☆

[To be fair, the fact that they're not dressed at their 'best' around one another says a lot about their relationship as well. There's no need to look put-together or cute around someone you consider as family, after all!

He moves out of the doorway to let her into the apartment, closing the door behind him once she's inside.]

Well, there's more than enough, if that's what you're looking forward to.

[And, just as promised, there's slices of three different kinds of strawberry white chocolate cheesecakes on the kitchen table, ready and waiting. HE'S BEEN A BUSY BOY, OKAY....]

Excellent.

[ She looks so excited, which becomes more evident as her eyes are lighting up. Can you tell that her favorite kind of cake is strawberry? Because it's probably plainly obvious now.

Nevertheless, once she's inside, she'll take off her shoes - as it's only polite! - before stepping any further inside and peering at the kitchen table and zooming towards it. They all look so good, Mio is here for free food.

No shame. But she'll politely take a seat with a smile. ]

Just water, if that's okay... If I drink tea before eating the cake, it might make the taste slightly different.

[Well, the fact that Mio looks genuinely enthused about the cheesecakes is a good sign, at least? It means they look appetizing enough, which was just about as important as the taste. Although there is a faint prickle of worry at the sight of her eyes sparkling like that-- even if they've gotten along better now than they have in the past, #turkeygate was always going to haunt him, just a little bit, and an eager Mio will always give him a bit of Concern on reflex.

He nods at her request, finding it reasonable enough. Tea with cake as a snack was one thing, but since she was specifically trying it for taste...

After grabbing a glass for her and rummaging in the fridge for the water pitcher, he brings it back to the table and sets it in front of her, already filled. He makes one more trip, this time for a fork and a napkin to offer her, before settling down in his own chair.]

Those are the three that turned out the best, I think. There's a lot of ways to make it, so I tried a few different recipes to be on the safe side.
